This is the space where I will pop up any other relevant Council information, which may not have direct links to the WWDAC.

We would like to invite you to participate in two exciting opportunities to engage in deeper conversations about Reconciliation in Wyndham.

Wyndham Reconciliation Advisory Committee
Wyndham City is inviting Expressions of Interest for membership to the Wyndham Reconciliation Advisory Committee.

Following the formal adoption of Wyndham City’s Statement of Commitment, Council is inviting Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal representatives to become members of the Wyndham Reconciliation Advisory Committee (WRAC). The Expression of Interest process will be open to the 22 May 2016.

The WRAC will be a platform for partnership between community and Council to:
•Provide input into the development, implementation and review of Council’s first Reconciliation Action Plan
•Identify key priorities and strategies for Council towards Reconciliation over the next four years
•Strengthen community awareness, dialogue and partnerships to address Reconciliation issues in Wyndham City

You are invited to submit your Expression of Interest form before 22 May 2016 by:
•Email to community.development@wyndham.vic.gov.au
•Hand deliver to: Attention: Leading Communities at Wyndham City, 45 Princes Hwy Werribee;
•Post to: Attention: Leading Communities, PO Box 197, Werribee, Victoria 3030

Copies of the Expressions of Interest Form and the Terms of Reference can be found at www.wyndham.vic.gov.au/reconciliationadvisorycommittee or by phoning 9742 0777.

The Wyndham City Statement of Commitment can be found at:

A Possum Skin Cloak for Reconciliation
Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people are invited to be part of the unique process of making a possum skin cloak and a deeper conversation about what Reconciliation means in Wyndham.

You are invited to attend one, many or all sessions between 7 May and 5 June 2016. You will work with senior practitioner Maree Clarke a Mutti Mutti / Yorta Yorta and Boon Wurrung / Wemba Wemba woman and Gunnai man Len Tregonning.

COUNCIL LISTENING POST SATURDAY 21 MAY 11AM - 1PM

Wyndham City invites you to the Werribee Listening Post.

Enjoy FREE family fun while you share your ideas with Wyndham City Councillors and senior Council staff.

The purpose of the Wyndham Exchange is for community members to talk about issues that
affect their respective neighbourhoods and to work
towards making a difference.

Topics will include:
• Wyndham City Council’s priorities;
• New issues and your priorities.

If members can make it down, it might be a good way of networking in the community and gaining inspiration for the District Open Day.
Cheers,
Maddie
